Student Clubs and Organizations
All students are encouraged to enrich the NC community and their own personal development by getting involved on-campus. Co-curricular student clubs and organizations are founded on the premise that not all learning on a college campus is confined to what takes place in the classroom. There are many clubs and organizations on the NC campus that represent a variety of interests. These groupd are organized into Student Government Association, student classes, and student organizations.
Navarro College supports student clubs and organizations because they encourage and foster academic and personal growth along with learning through active involvement, individual commitment, and personal enrichment.
These clubs and organizations provide students with leadership opportunities at the local, regional, and state levels. Students who have similar interests should be encouraged to form and/or join a student club or organizations in an effort to advance their common goals and interests.
It is important to note the four primary focuses or reasons for the formation of student club/organizations.
1. Having the college experience.
2. Increasing awareness of what is happening.
3. Gaining personal growth in career, social skills, and service.
4. Joining a club is easy and makes life at NC more rewarding, stimulating, and fun.
